my face is still damp with tears
spoke with her
this time without too much arguing
just humbling myself
admitting that i screwed up
asking for yet another chance
and sharing some plans
i made her cry again
but this time with joy
cos she finally heard
what she's been longing to hear
an "i miss you, ma"
from a bitter daughter
