halted

time seemed to stand still
didn’t notice it flew so fast
still thinking for the next step
when the allotted time ended
tears wanted to escape
from these angry eyes
it can no longer look
at the demise
can anybody slap me on the face?
or better yet
let me be
that’s how it’s supposed to be
estranged from reality
